Well XBOXActive I think I speak for everyone when I say this summer has SUCKED! I don?t mean the games or anything, but as far as rumor news goes these past few months have been as dry as a priest at a child abuse hearing! Thankfully it?s finally over! With ECTS, X03, and TGS all coming at us within two months the gaming gossip is finally starting to flow again! So step on up and let me quench your thirst for backstage news, come on now don?t be shy! HEY YOU in the back move it or lose it!
Out for an Upgrade.
With Rainbow Six 3, PGR2, Ninja Gaiden, and Counterstrike all still landing on XBOX before Christmas Sudeki?s loss to 2004 is hardly a crippling blow. So while I didn?t panic I was curious to find out what caused the delay. Among the normal graphical tweaks and gameplay enhancements is something I?m sure we all wanted to see, XBOX Live support! It?s hardly a surprise, after all, every Microsoft Game that has scene any kind of delay along the development path has emerged as a tighter game with Live in tow.
The Hedgehog?s Take- Don?t expect much beyond downloadable content however, as the game is still single player only!
Rumor Followup- Deus Ex Live
Eidos does NOT support XBOX Live, or do they? When I was still on XBOX365 I reported that news out of Ion Strom said that this Sci-Fi stunner would support Live, only to have my rumor shot down a few weeks later. Well, either OXM never saw that press statement from Eidos or the company has had a change of heart. On Page 29 of this months issue in their big Deus Ex preview; fifth paragraph it says and I quote, ?But it looks like their may be downloadable content post-release? Now unless Ion wants OXM to handle all the downloads on their demo disc, you know what that means!

DOA 4 still in the Distance-
With DOA: Online getting pushed back for the addition of DOA3; some sites have reported that this game will in fact become DOA4. Sorry, but that?s not happening. DOA4 is in fact already in production completely independent of the DOA: Online project and is on target for a release late next year according to my source. The game will apparently run off the same DOAX engine being used for Online however the game will feature two distinct additions. First is brand new motion capture for even more fluid animations and the next is an amazing new dynamic lighting engine!

The Trojan Download?
Let it never be said I didn?t do anything for all you modders out there, so consider this a warning! Come September you will all be able to download the new Live Now feature for your XBOX dashboards. DON?T, because this download is more than it seems! In addition to the Live Now program the patch also contains new encryption and detection software to render the current round of mod-chips useless! Unfortunately, the download is required, so looks like you may need to find a way to mod around it unless you wanna be stuck play legally again!

I can?t tell all, but you XBOX fans are going to see some amazing new content with this next round of upcoming shows! X03 will premiere the remaining two Rare titles including Perfect Dark Zero. TGS will see the unveiling of new games from Sega, Capcom, and a few from Microsoft Games of Japan too. I will tell you this though. Somewhere in all this is lurking a totally new title from a brand new developer, who had a hand in creating a certain multi-platinum selling franchise. I can?t say much but if this all pans out this new game may even put Fable to shame, OH NO I think I may have said too much!

unfortunately, no it is not a game from Square Enix. The same rumor was posted on Xboxgamers yesterday, but they named the developer.
The newly formed super-development studio headed by the creators of such revolutionary titles as Grand Theft Auto and Lemmings, ?Realtime Worlds? have been spotted working on a brand new Xbox Exclusive, LIVE-enabled title.
