THQ's Full Spectrum Warrior took many by surprise at E3 where it was nominated for four categories. Developed by Pandemic Studios, this authentic military tactical-action game was actually designed (in its first incarnation) as a light infantry-training simulator for the US Army as a tool to reinforce Army doctrine and squad tactics among troops. How's that for real?
If you are one of the lucky ones at X03, you'll get to see it for yourself, as THQ will be unveling the first playable version of Full Spectrum Warrior, which is scheduled for release on the Xbox in early 2004.
"With its unique tactical-action style of gameplay and roots as an actual U.S. Army training simulator, Full Spectrum Warrior allows players to experience the precision and emotion of modern day military operations," said Jack Sorensen, executive vice president of worldwide studios, THQ. "We're delighted with initial press response to the game and believe X03 is the perfect opportunity to give game industry opinion leaders their first hands-on experience with Full Spectrum Warrior."
